Hayley is happily entertaining Hagan while I humdrum at work. It’s been fun so far! And I’m looking forward to the Superbowl with Seattlelites in philly!!!!  The Datty is enjoying sun and hard work down south… Making us all drool with sun envy.

I completed my first workweek just in time for a three day weekend. We enjoyed a relaxing few days watching the Seahawks, visiting a local Washington monument and a brief visit with some Philly friends who came out to see the new space. We are finding a nice groove so far but that’s all about to change this weekend as the Datty will go to Baton Rouge for another fantastic treehouse build. Our friend/nanny will come from Philly and stay with me during the weekdays for the duration of the build so that Hagan can be properly entertained.

We are getting settled, new surroundings, new car, new job, new life. It’s all a bit much to swallow. So big, so fast. It is pretty spectacular so far. Hagan seems to love the new home. The deer are a daily amazement and there looks to be a great horned owl that calls our forest home! My first days on the job have let know how much my specific knowledge is quite a coveted specialty and that everyone seems very eager to get to know me and genuinely friendly. I’m still in shock over it all and am waiting for everything to sink in.

I have a week until I start the new job which means more time to unpack, get situated and play in the snow around the 14acres of foresty goodness.

We packed most of our house and then broke for a few days to visit the Indy family for the holiday with Uncle Kris and Auntie Tiff. Hagan delighted in opening about half of his prezzies before tiring of the process to turn knobs on the stereo. regardless, it was a blast and a much needed reprieve before the final hustle to Jersey.

It’s getting crazy around here. Life in boxes, a 2yr old menace and Xmas preparations! I’m definitely ready for a couple days of downtime with the grandparents. It will be a zoo of toddler, dog, cat, bunny and family but somehow it will be more sane than our current abode.

I recently accepted a job in Industry and will now move the family over to New Jersey near Rutgers University. We have signed a lease on a house that sits upon 14 acres of woods! We are ecstatic! And I am that kind of terrified that only comes with the start of an amazing adventure. Here are some selected pix of the property and of course the random Hagan pix of the week.

But for now I’ll entertain u with Hagan updates: vaccines, another visit with uncle kris and general good times. More news coming soon…

We had a lovely, long weekend hanging with Kris n Tiff and their pup, Joplin. Datty made a scrumptious supper with all the fixins and a pumpkin pie to boot. Hagan was elated to host our sweet guests and made sure to make them feel welcome every morning at 6am.

This week the temperatures plummeted and no one wanted to leave the house.. So, hagan helped Datty around the house until finally, the temperatures warmed up to a balmy springtime feel and then the boys ended up in a leaf pile. Cuteness all around.
