Hagan picked up a cold from the 3yr/o bday party and father and son took to the bed where scant cool air from the cold box can be had. They all survived quite nicely and we followed the week up with OUR FIRST DATE SOLO. Our lovely friend, Olivia played with Hagan for several hours while we went to a movie! and then burgers and beers!! It was a fantastic end to a sniffly week. Hagan also had a play-date which was followed by dinner with MORE KIDS. super fun and music too <3

We made pillow-fighting stuffed light sabers for our friends birthday boy! Hagan was sure the partier, jumping right into the thick of kids and balloons! And was asleep as we headed out the door.. It was a fun ta-do. After Sean finished the kitchen shelves we finally got hagan that pool that gramma Yunker insisted on!

But I didn’t take any pictures… Because we were having way too much fun! We finished off our nations holiday with the landlords family in the backyard with good food and fireflies. This weekend, we traveled to New Hope to play in our friends pool (and thrift at the golden nugget!!!). Holy cow, it’s been fun. Now, papa SX is putting together some much needed shelving in the kitchen. Perhaps I’ll take a picture…..

The garden is going off with warm temps and tons of rain! So much to eat already! It’s unbelievable! Hagan and the bunny are quite the duo every morning there’s a hunt and chase. So much comedy and cuteness.

It’s been a whirlwind of a week. We started off by adopting a baby bunny named Walnut and followed it up with a perio-conference at Penn with Seattle visitors from my old lab. It’s been quite the fun ride but I’m ready for a nap.

Hagan is walking faster than me… With assistance. I’m looking forward to being that assistance again. He is really loving this two legged activity.

A week of crutches produced two delightful dinners with friends, daily lunches with hubby and babe… And loads of relaxing family time. I’m down to one crutch but still movin’ slow…

Excited and giddy after finishing a big experiment, spending some solo time with Hagan… SX returned home as I was ramping up for a heavy week of science… But, instead I wiped out on a wet trail and a bike on bike collision sent me to the hospital. Fortunately, SX is able to be home and help me adjust to daily life on crutches. I’m still working albeit much slower… Pelvic fractures are gonna keep me slow for just over a month… *sigh*

Fortunately for us, our lovely neighbors came over to cook us dinner and play with Hagan…and now I have a chauffeur and lunch date everyday at work… and another dinner date this evening.

The vast property contained a small castle, an unbelievable barn and a guest cottage that could easily house a 5 person family for life. It was stunning.. And just across the way from a job site they built a nest in two years ago…
