It has been a blur of fun as the papa came home just in time for our anniversary… A belated papa bday and momma day. We celebrated with a fancy dinner and trip to the jersey shore just in time for perfect weather. Oh my gosh, it was so much fun. Not to mention Hagan and my first time to the Atlantic coast! If u don’t count that one time in Miami….
Our dear friend, Bella just moved to the east coast. We entertained ourselves with apartment hunting and showing off the neighborhood… Hagan was the belle of the ball. He loved every minute.
Hagan and I have been enjoying the sun, friends and a refurbished bike. We spent the weekend with some friends that have three girls who are absolutely bananas over Hagan. I was given a very weathered old girls bike last summer and finally repainted for a spanky good time in the backyard! We expect papa to return early next week… Until then, we are slogging thru some rain that will no doubt feed our baby garden.
Spring has brought mating cardinals to our window and warm thunderstorms for the garden! It feels alive again. So very nice. I’ve had to spend half this week at home as our Hayley is out of town and the sub has two suck kiddos. I suppose there are worse things than being stuck with an adorable boy in the spring sun! I am really enjoying my time with him.
We have all been playing family time relaxing and running errands…. Like ikea mattress shopping!!!! We have been on a one inch topper with foam for just a year too long… So, a real mattress is crazy cool! The winter has finally left and the balmy warm breeze has come… We are preparing for Easter fun and another treehouse adventure for pop.
We had quite the time in Austin! We flew down, headed to the wedding preparty sans papa and ate delicious BBQ with beautiful music. Then, we picked up papa and slumbered for the big day of meeting up with grandparents and cousins before the evening wedding celebrations. Somehow we stuffed a whole week into a day and had a spectacular time. There was a little train in a park and a stunning bride of the eve. The following day we headed out to post wedding brunch followed by Lindsey and Anthony hang sesh. Lovely trip… I could use a nap.
Hagan and I are cuddling our nights away and funning on the weekends. Hayley has been showing hagan a fun time during the days… We celebrated her bday with fried chicken and loads of chocolate cake that I covered with pink n pretty just for her! Later this week, we will duck into Austin to meet up with SX and Lindsey so we can all party it up at a wedding celebration! I’m terribly excited for such a jam packed couple of days of pure fun in the sun with Fam n friends!
We squeezed a whole lotta life I to our last week to tide us over while the masta’ is away. Datty worked in the garden and house projects breaking to have coffee via text with the momma while she was at work. We had a date night thanks to Hayley for the Hagan watching and CB n Mikee for the gift of awesome BBQ at Fette Sau which included a flight of bourbon! Weeee! It was fun! Even more fun, we will join up with the Datty in Austin shortly for a wedding celebration!!!! Cannot wait.
I finished up one hell of a week and picked up the Datty from treehouse land Friday eve. We had a scrumptious weekend of playground, zoo and patty parade good times. Now it’s back trudging thru snow to work while boys whistle away at home.
Meanwhile it’s been a grind at work with new experiments consuming my brain. Hagan has been privy to a couple play dates and we had dinner with the lovely Rosemary and family. Sweating away at work and cuddling during the nights excited for the homecoming.
