Lately I’ve been wanting to write songs.. and sing them. Feelings of inadequacy try to keep me from this task as I have never in my life written a song… but stepping aside and trusting I flow.\u00c2\u00a0 and I want to share what came to me this morning which i have been singing ever since:<\/p>\n
“Waking To Flight”<\/p>\n
*When it all started
\nI was on shaky ground
\nnot sure if I was flying
\nor falling, falling into the Sound<\/p>\n
The ground was soft
\nat first but then
\nall of a sudden
\nit grew before me
\ntrapping me in<\/p>\n
I stood there staring
\nup toward the sky
\nwondering softly
\nwhy oh why
\ndo I feel so small<\/p>\n
*When it all started
\nI was on shaky ground
\nnot sure if i was flying
\nor falling to the Sound<\/p>\n
I was almost comforted
\nby my fears
\nof crawling inwards
\naway from his tears<\/p>\n
Then like waking
\nto an alarm
\nI jumped up screaming
\nout of my skin<\/p>\n
Angry for all of the
\ntruths that I held
\naway from him<\/p>\n
*When it all started
\nI was on shaky ground
\nnot sure if i was flying
\nor falling, falling into the Sound<\/p>\n
I look up toward
\nthe star-filled sky
\nremembering my strength
\nand feeling oh so full of light<\/p>\n
